Narrative:
A B757 operating from abc to lga given 30 min hold 30 mi west of keating VOR. Holding due to saturation. Efc extended additional 20 mins. ATC was advised holding fuel was exhausted, could not accept any further delays and would a request for destination change to jfk result in a cancel of our hold. ATC agreed to our request. On arrival to jfk, additional holding developed. We told ATC no holding could be accepted. After a series of delaying vectors, an area of WX moving towards jfk, we made visual contact with lga. Captain told ATC we had 50 mins of fuel on board, that we were 'fuel critical,' and needed to land at lga. Aircraft landed at lga with 30 mins of fuel on board.
