Narrative:
During taxi out a flight attendant reported a momentary thump sound from under door 3L and right. We thought it might have to do with the rough txwys at jfk but after the flight attendant reported a similar thump sound during our descent into pap I started to suspect a loose cargo bin. The cargo handler confirmed that bin was indeed not secured at all and was sliding back and forth during flight and landed up against the rear cargo door when we arrived in pap. This cargo bin was not secured at jfk. This is the same mistake that caused the crash of an airlines DC8 in mia last yr. I would like the name of the cargo handler and the supervisor in charge at jfk and all others responsible for this serious act of gross negligence. I would also like to see a plan of corrective measures put into place so this does not happen again and maybe cause an accident.
