Narrative:
On takeoff out of bgi, we were alerted to a GPWS too low terrain alert and then a major FMS map shift was noted. On turning to the north and re-evaluating the shift, it was noted to be about 30 mi offset, too. We had the #1 flight attendant check the cabin and found a young passenger playing a game boy. We continued the flight under alternative navigation methods, ie, vectors and navaids to navaids since we could not trust the FMS. All other operations normal.
