Narrative:

Prior to reaching the end of runway 14R, tower cleared us for takeoff. 'Air carrier X cleared for takeoff turn left heading 070 degrees' with no altitude stated in clearance for when to start turn. We decided to start our turn at 2600 ft as per the IFR departure procedure. At approximately 2300 ft, we noticed traffic at 12 O'clock position, 300 ft below descending. We expedited our climb and started our turn to a heading of 070 degrees. We learned that the other aircraft was a B727 on the ILS to the opposite runway 32L. We were given no prior notice by ATC of opposite direction traffic.
