Narrative:
We had a bird strike over runway 30L at stl about 100 ft AGL. The bird entered the left engine and we lost about 30-40% torque. We declared an emergency and returned to stl without further incident. On postflt inspection, the left engine showed evidence of a bird strike and the first compressor blades were damaged.
