Narrative:
One man hit the man sitting next to him. After they were moved away from each other, the passenger who did the hitting then hit someone seated near him. At this time he was restrained. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated incident occurred as follows: 3-4 hours into flight after 2 coach class passenger seated next to each other had lunch and 2 drinks and both fell asleep. 1 passenger awoke to find the other passenger sleeping on his shoulder and proceeded to punch him bloodying his nose. Cabin attendants separated passenger and brought injured passenger to business class. 10 mins later, abusive passenger started punching another coach class passenger, at which point 2 cabin attendants separated them and called flight crew, who restrained combative passenger and diverted to alternate to deplane restrained passenger. Auths met aircraft and flight continued to destination without further incident.

Title: 4 HRS INTO FLT ON BOARD MD11 PAX AWOKE AND BECAME PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE TO PAX SEATED NEXT TO HIM. SHORTLY AFTER SAME PAX PUNCHED ANOTHER PAX, FLC RESTRAINED HIM AND DIVERTED TO ALTERNATE TO DEPLANE AND RELEASE DISRUPTIVE PAX TO AUTHS.
Narrative: ONE MAN HIT THE MAN SITTING NEXT TO HIM. AFTER THEY WERE MOVED AWAY FROM EACH OTHER, THE PAX WHO DID THE HITTING THEN HIT SOMEONE SEATED NEAR HIM. AT THIS TIME HE WAS RESTRAINED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED INCIDENT OCCURRED AS FOLLOWS: 3-4 HRS INTO FLT AFTER 2 COACH CLASS PAX SEATED NEXT TO EACH OTHER HAD LUNCH AND 2 DRINKS AND BOTH FELL ASLEEP. 1 PAX AWOKE TO FIND THE OTHER PAX SLEEPING ON HIS SHOULDER AND PROCEEDED TO PUNCH HIM BLOODYING HIS NOSE. CABIN ATTENDANTS SEPARATED PAX AND BROUGHT INJURED PAX TO BUSINESS CLASS. 10 MINS LATER, ABUSIVE PAX STARTED PUNCHING ANOTHER COACH CLASS PAX, AT WHICH POINT 2 CABIN ATTENDANTS SEPARATED THEM AND CALLED FLC, WHO RESTRAINED COMBATIVE PAX AND DIVERTED TO ALTERNATE TO DEPLANE RESTRAINED PAX. AUTHS MET ACFT AND FLT CONTINUED TO DEST WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
