Narrative:
Directed to cross benky at 11000 ft by ord approach control. Left FL240 with 10 KT tailwind as calculated by performance monitoring system. It became apparent that maximum effort would be needed to meet restr. Extended speed brakes and increased speed to 340 KTS at idle power but still crossed benky about 800 ft high. After leveloff performance monitoring system showed tailwind had increased to 32 KTS. Need to be aware that winds will affect clearance requirements.
