Narrative:

This event was the removal and installation of the right wing aileron on air carrier B757. While installing the aileron power control actuator rod end bolt and the reaction link bolts, the bolt anti rotation clips were removed to facilitate the torquing of the bolts. The anti rotation clips were accidentally left off of bolts. In the B757 manual for removing and installing the aileron, it does not mention anything about the removal or installation of the anti rotation clips. To further prevent this from recurring, a revision in the manual for removal and installation of clips should be inserted. The omission of these anti rotation clips in no way affects the structural integrity of the aileron, or the operation of the aileron system.
