Narrative:
Perfect day, cavu, light winds, everything was perfect, except that I forgot to change over to tower frequency and get clearance to land. I did check everything else twice, airspeed, confign, traffic, everything! Except, of course to get landing clearance. I've dreaded this exact thing my entire career and complacency got me today. My apologies to ATC. Approach control never told us to contact tower and I guess I rely too much on that. No excuse, I just dropped the ball.

Title: DC9 CREW DID NOT GET INSTRUCTION FROM APCH CTL TO CONTACT TWR AND LANDED WITHOUT RECEIVING CLRNC TO LAND FROM THE TWR.
Narrative: PERFECT DAY, CAVU, LIGHT WINDS, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT, EXCEPT THAT I FORGOT TO CHANGE OVER TO TWR FREQ AND GET CLRNC TO LAND. I DID CHK EVERYTHING ELSE TWICE, AIRSPD, CONFIGN, TFC, EVERYTHING! EXCEPT, OF COURSE TO GET LNDG CLRNC. I'VE DREADED THIS EXACT THING MY ENTIRE CAREER AND COMPLACENCY GOT ME TODAY. MY APOLOGIES TO ATC. APCH CTL NEVER TOLD US TO CONTACT TWR AND I GUESS I RELY TOO MUCH ON THAT. NO EXCUSE, I JUST DROPPED THE BALL.
