Narrative:

Approximately 85 mi east of igb, while level at 20000 ft, a loud bang and a thump was felt throughout the aircraft. Believing that the thump was in the front of the aircraft, and suspecting a nose gear door may have come open, the aircraft was slowed to less than 200 KTS, vlge speed. The flight attendant was called for any additional information that he may be able to share with us. His response was 'I think it was in the forward part of the aircraft.' a normal approach and landing was made into igb. The postflt inspection revealed a damaged area under the left wing of the aircraft. The hydraulic service door was found to be smashed up into the hydraulic service area.
