Narrative:
While departing runway 22 at I69 airport, another aircraft was sighted doing a fly-by over the west taxiway heading northbound. During taxi out, an unknown observer to the east of the runway radioed my aircraft and asked my intentions, and also informed me of an air derby in progress. I replied that I would be departing runway 22 with a left turn out for a northbound departure. After performing before takeoff checks, I announced my intentions for takeoff, visually cleared the pattern, and began my takeoff roll. During the takeoff the unknown observer advised us of an inbound parachutist of the derby approaching head-on. My CFI pointed out the traffic which I acknowledged immediately. I continued my climb and remained clear of the traffic. With the observers on the east side of the runway this may have appeared much closer from their view point than it actually was. With several aircraft performing these unusual fly-by's the airport should possibly have been notamed closed.

Title: NMAC BTWN A PIPER PA28R-200 CLBING OUT AFTER TKOF FROM AN UNCTLED ARPT AND AN AIR DERBY EVENT PARTICIPANT MAKING A FLY-BY IN RELATIVELY THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
Narrative: WHILE DEPARTING RWY 22 AT I69 ARPT, ANOTHER ACFT WAS SIGHTED DOING A FLY-BY OVER THE W TXWY HDG NBOUND. DURING TAXI OUT, AN UNKNOWN OBSERVER TO THE E OF THE RWY RADIOED MY ACFT AND ASKED MY INTENTIONS, AND ALSO INFORMED ME OF AN AIR DERBY IN PROGRESS. I REPLIED THAT I WOULD BE DEPARTING RWY 22 WITH A L TURN OUT FOR A NBOUND DEP. AFTER PERFORMING BEFORE TKOF CHKS, I ANNOUNCED MY INTENTIONS FOR TKOF, VISUALLY CLRED THE PATTERN, AND BEGAN MY TKOF ROLL. DURING THE TKOF THE UNKNOWN OBSERVER ADVISED US OF AN INBOUND PARACHUTIST OF THE DERBY APCHING HEAD-ON. MY CFI POINTED OUT THE TFC WHICH I ACKNOWLEDGED IMMEDIATELY. I CONTINUED MY CLB AND REMAINED CLR OF THE TFC. WITH THE OBSERVERS ON THE E SIDE OF THE RWY THIS MAY HAVE APPEARED MUCH CLOSER FROM THEIR VIEW POINT THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS. WITH SEVERAL ACFT PERFORMING THESE UNUSUAL FLY-BY'S THE ARPT SHOULD POSSIBLY HAVE BEEN NOTAMED CLOSED.
