Narrative:
Center told us to hold as published on the olympia two arrival. We turned the 1ST leg standard rather than as published. I was viewing the holding pattern at battle ground which is standard. ATC brought it to our attention. I was concentrating on portland anyway as an alternate so my mind was on battle ground. Supplemental information from acn 407504: I was the PF. As we approached the VOR the LNAV started a right turn on the STAR. When it didn't finish the turn, I was momentarily confused. I turned off LNAV and finish the turn to the outbound leg. Unfortunately it was in the wrong direction.
