Narrative:
I and a passenger took off from lwl. We had a right crosswind at 10 mph. After we climbed to about 50 ft AGL we turned right, into the wind. We got about 1 mi from the airport, caught a downdraft and landed on some sagebrush. The landing broke the landing gear and propeller only.
