Narrative:

Location: apn. Mex approach cleared us from 16000 ft to 13000 ft after crossing apn VOR. Then after crossing apn and descending through 14000 ft, they called to ask our altitude and after responding, we were told to climb and maintain 16000 ft for traffic departing pbc. At that time we requested 15000 ft, which they gave us, then handed us off to pbc approach. Nothing more was said by ATC except to hold over pbc at 13000 ft until traffic had cleared area. It appears to me that there is a communication problem or delay between pbc and mex approach.

Title: A DSNDING FOKKER 100 GETS AN AMENDED ALT WHEN MEX APCH CTLR GETS UPDATED DEP TFC FROM PBC THAT MIGHT CONFLICT WITH FLT INBOUND TO PBC. RPTR COMPLAINS OF POOR COORD BTWN THE TWO FACILITIES.

Narrative: LOCATION: APN. MEX APCH CLRED US FROM 16000 FT TO 13000 FT AFTER XING APN VOR. THEN AFTER XING APN AND DSNDING THROUGH 14000 FT, THEY CALLED TO ASK OUR ALT AND AFTER RESPONDING, WE WERE TOLD TO CLB AND MAINTAIN 16000 FT FOR TFC DEPARTING PBC. AT THAT TIME WE REQUESTED 15000 FT, WHICH THEY GAVE US, THEN HANDED US OFF TO PBC APCH. NOTHING MORE WAS SAID BY ATC EXCEPT TO HOLD OVER PBC AT 13000 FT UNTIL TFC HAD CLRED AREA. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THERE IS A COM PROB OR DELAY BTWN PBC AND MEX APCH.
