Narrative:

Usual flight time for a round trip mlb-myat-fpr-mlb is 2.1 hours aircraft flight time. Severe WX caused me to divert twice during this flight. In doing so I overflew a 100 hour airworthiness directive by .6 hours. When I departed on the last leg I had not exceeded the 100 hour limit but severe WX again made the flight longer than expected. I did not know that this airworthiness directive could not be overflown. Our director of maintenance was supposed to do the airworthiness directive every 50 hours so we would never have this overfly problem, but it was not done. To correct this problem I feel it is my responsibility to ground the aircraft if it is anywhere close to the airworthiness directive time limit. I also feel, as an instructor for the company, that I should teach the other capts to do the same.
