Narrative:
Inside krena intersection, level 7000 ft, we were cleared to 6000 ft. The controller had us turn to a heading of 170 degrees and at about 6200 ft he said, you were not cleared to 6000 ft, but descend to 4000 ft. We told the controller that we acknowledged the 6000 ft altitude.
