Narrative:
Lwm tower advised 'report right downwind, runway 32.' I did. As I approached base leg I was cleared to land. As I turned onto base, a C172 was approaching 'nose to nose' on a left base leg. I interrogated the controller on this situation, in light of the fact they had cleared me to land behind a cessna on short final, doing touch and goes.
