Narrative:
Loss of oil quantity. Notified ny commercial radio of possible engine shutdown and need of descent to lower altitude. Told to stand by. Oil quantity continued to decrease, power reduced, airspeed decrease requiring a descent. Told ny commercial radio that I was leaving FL310. During the descent I was in ZHU range, clearance received, aircraft landed normally. Incident happened on flight from mmcz to iah -- kehli intersection. Supplemental information from acn 409418: passing kehli on us 766, loss oil quantity on #3 engine. Notified ny on probable engine shutdown, and the need to descend. Instructed to stand by. Oil quantity decreased further and engine shut down. Ny notified not able to maintain FL310. We began a descent to FL220. ZHU notified during descent and cleared us to iah direct. Aircraft landed without incident. Engine at time of landing still produced oil pressure. Note: flight was mmcz to iah en route us 766.

Title: LGT CREW EXPERIENCED ENG OIL LOSS AND IS REQUIRED TO REDUCE THRUST AND THEN SHUT DOWN #3 ENG. CAPT IS FORCED TO DECLARE AN EMER IN ORDER TO GET A DSCNT CLRNC.
Narrative: LOSS OF OIL QUANTITY. NOTIFIED NY COMMERCIAL RADIO OF POSSIBLE ENG SHUTDOWN AND NEED OF DSCNT TO LOWER ALT. TOLD TO STAND BY. OIL QUANTITY CONTINUED TO DECREASE, PWR REDUCED, AIRSPD DECREASE REQUIRING A DSCNT. TOLD NY COMMERCIAL RADIO THAT I WAS LEAVING FL310. DURING THE DSCNT I WAS IN ZHU RANGE, CLRNC RECEIVED, ACFT LANDED NORMALLY. INCIDENT HAPPENED ON FLT FROM MMCZ TO IAH -- KEHLI INTXN. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 409418: PASSING KEHLI ON US 766, LOSS OIL QUANTITY ON #3 ENG. NOTIFIED NY ON PROBABLE ENG SHUTDOWN, AND THE NEED TO DSND. INSTRUCTED TO STAND BY. OIL QUANTITY DECREASED FURTHER AND ENG SHUT DOWN. NY NOTIFIED NOT ABLE TO MAINTAIN FL310. WE BEGAN A DSCNT TO FL220. ZHU NOTIFIED DURING DSCNT AND CLRED US TO IAH DIRECT. ACFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. ENG AT TIME OF LNDG STILL PRODUCED OIL PRESSURE. NOTE: FLT WAS MMCZ TO IAH ENRTE US 766.
