Narrative:
(Communication problem when changing frequency.) the new frequency was read back, but it was not corrected and ended up to be the wrong one. This resulted in missing a descent and we came out of the sequence. If the wrong frequency was caught on the readback, this would not have happened.

Title: ACR B737 FLC ACKNOWLEDGED FOR FREQ CHANGE, BUT KEYED UP INCORRECT FREQ AND MISSED TIMELY ALT DSCNT.
Narrative: (COM PROB WHEN CHANGING FREQ.) THE NEW FREQ WAS READ BACK, BUT IT WAS NOT CORRECTED AND ENDED UP TO BE THE WRONG ONE. THIS RESULTED IN MISSING A DSCNT AND WE CAME OUT OF THE SEQUENCE. IF THE WRONG FREQ WAS CAUGHT ON THE READBACK, THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.
