Narrative:
Approaching edsel at XA49, ZLA on 132.15 assigned FL310 and this was acknowledged by the captain. ZLA later asked us where we got the assigned altitude. Supplemental information from acn 409860: center later asked when were we cleared to FL310. We told him when we switched to VHF at edsel.
