Narrative:
Rejected takeoff -- aborted takeoff upon activation of red warning light, 'aft cabin door,' and master caution illuminated. IAS was approximately 10-15 KTS below computed V1 speed for conditions. Abort was performed with thrust reversers, autospoilers and minimal braking. After clearing runway, aft cabin door was inspected per the MEL issued for this aircraft. An MEL entry was noted on the flight log and all applicable procedures complied with. After MEL compliance, we taxied and continued our departure. This warning light is a frequent problem on the lear 60. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aft cargo door was checked by the first officer for being closed and locked during the preflight. The reporter said the limited experience level of the first officer dictated the rejected takeoff. The reporter said the door warning system on this aircraft is the cause of frequent false warnings. The reporter stated it is a microswitch system and the switch actuator or the switch easily become out of adjustment.

Title: AN LR60 ON TKOF BELOW V1 SPD REJECTED THE TKOF DUE TO AN AFT CABIN DOOR WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED.
Narrative: REJECTED TKOF -- ABORTED TKOF UPON ACTIVATION OF RED WARNING LIGHT, 'AFT CABIN DOOR,' AND MASTER CAUTION ILLUMINATED. IAS WAS APPROX 10-15 KTS BELOW COMPUTED V1 SPD FOR CONDITIONS. ABORT WAS PERFORMED WITH THRUST REVERSERS, AUTOSPOILERS AND MINIMAL BRAKING. AFTER CLRING RWY, AFT CABIN DOOR WAS INSPECTED PER THE MEL ISSUED FOR THIS ACFT. AN MEL ENTRY WAS NOTED ON THE FLT LOG AND ALL APPLICABLE PROCS COMPLIED WITH. AFTER MEL COMPLIANCE, WE TAXIED AND CONTINUED OUR DEP. THIS WARNING LIGHT IS A FREQUENT PROB ON THE LEAR 60. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE AFT CARGO DOOR WAS CHKED BY THE FO FOR BEING CLOSED AND LOCKED DURING THE PREFLT. THE RPTR SAID THE LIMITED EXPERIENCE LEVEL OF THE FO DICTATED THE REJECTED TKOF. THE RPTR SAID THE DOOR WARNING SYS ON THIS ACFT IS THE CAUSE OF FREQUENT FALSE WARNINGS. THE RPTR STATED IT IS A MICROSWITCH SYS AND THE SWITCH ACTUATOR OR THE SWITCH EASILY BECOME OUT OF ADJUSTMENT.
