Narrative:
Due to an overall staffing shortage and training of fpl's due to a 7TH area reorganization, supervisors are 'making ends meet' by working position while also assigned the 'operational supervisor' position. On this shift, the osic was forced to work the a-side stuffing strips for 4 sectors from 2 printers. I was working the a-side and decod-hi was getting very busy handling arrs. The osic told me to plug in to the d- side, but there was no one available for the a-side. He ran around stuffing strips. The osic had to call down 2 staff specialists and 1 a-side from another area. This a- side was recalled from that area and the osic had to steal an a-side from another area. The staff specialists and a-side didn't last long so the fix was only temporary. The osic only called down the staff specialists when I told him that he ought to file a NASA report.
