Narrative:
I was doing touch and goes in the pattern at hpn in my low wing piper and was turning from crosswind to downwind. A cessna high wing entered the pattern (low and below me) as I was turning. Both of us were under tower control at the time. The cessna was to enter at mid field but did not. Because we were both turning, our wings blocked visibility.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A PA24-140 PLT HAS AN NMAC WITH AN UNEXPECTED CESSNA IN THE TFC PATTERN. THE CESSNA WAS UNDER THE CHEROKEE AND THEREFORE NEITHER PLT SAW EACH OTHER DURING THEIR TURN INTO THE TFC PATTERN.
