Narrative:

Departed americus, GA, airport on runway 23. The local advisory frequency was used. The far end of the runway could not be seen due to a rise in the runway. Prior to liftoff it was noticed that a survey crew was on the runway about 2/3 of the way down. The takeoff was normal and the survey crew was cleared by about 100 ft vertical distance. There were no NOTAMS for survey work on this runway.

Title: A BE36 BONANZA ALMOST HIT A SURVEY CREW WHILE TAKING OFF FROM RWY 23 AT ACJ, GA. PLT STATES THAT A NOTAM HAD NOT BEEN ISSUED FOR THAT CREW AND THAT THE HUMP IN THE RWY OBSCURED THE CREW UNTIL JUST BEFORE ROTATION.

Narrative: DEPARTED AMERICUS, GA, ARPT ON RWY 23. THE LCL ADVISORY FREQ WAS USED. THE FAR END OF THE RWY COULD NOT BE SEEN DUE TO A RISE IN THE RWY. PRIOR TO LIFTOFF IT WAS NOTICED THAT A SURVEY CREW WAS ON THE RWY ABOUT 2/3 OF THE WAY DOWN. THE TKOF WAS NORMAL AND THE SURVEY CREW WAS CLRED BY ABOUT 100 FT VERT DISTANCE. THERE WERE NO NOTAMS FOR SURVEY WORK ON THIS RWY.
