Narrative:
Departed americus, GA, airport on runway 23. The local advisory frequency was used. The far end of the runway could not be seen due to a rise in the runway. Prior to liftoff it was noticed that a survey crew was on the runway about 2/3 of the way down. The takeoff was normal and the survey crew was cleared by about 100 ft vertical distance. There were no NOTAMS for survey work on this runway.
