Narrative:
In calibration of an airflow cart used in overhauling jet engines at air carrier maintenance base ZZZ, the air cart tracking method was changed to a kit with 5 items. In the past, the cart was calibrated as a whole, with no way of identing the items in the cart. The engineer responsible approved verbally to track as a kit. I did so but forgot to remove the old out-of-date sticker. So, unit had 2 stickers: the current sticker and the old sticker. This can be prevented in the future by doing another visual inspection before releasing equipment.
