Narrative:

During FAA ramp inspection the FAA inspector noted leakage from the aft lavatory. Company maintenance inspected the lavatory and found no leakage or defects. FAA inspector did not agree, so I had company maintenance defer the aft lavatory. Logbook was noted, lavatory closed off, and release amended as per company procedures. The inspector is now requesting further information so as to cover myself in case any procedural error was committed. I feel that all company procedures and good common sense were followed, but apparently this fed doesn't.
