Narrative:
I became aware that the aircraft had lost power due to a drop in torque and the cabin went completely dark for a moment. The other coach flight attendant and I immediately took the carts -- beverage and meal -- to the rear galley and stowed them, and after receiving information from the #1 flight attendant, prepared the cabin for landing. We landed safely without incident. Supplemental information from acn 412510: the cockpit informed the #1 flight attendant of the engine failure, promptly prepared for a planned emergency landing back in sjc. I can honestly say that the entire incident was dealt with properly. Everyone was calm.
