Narrative:
We were descending through the clouds down to 2500 ft while communicating with grissom approach control on frequency 121.05. We were told to call the airport in sight. Upon clearing the clouds we saw an airport at 12 O'clock and called in sight. Grissom approach cleared us for the visual approach and cancel flight plan on the ground or in the air. We canceled the flight plan and continued to the airport. On final, we discussed that this did not look like the right airport, even though it was the same runway number '5.' we knew on landing that it was the wrong airport and that our destination was 8 mi south of where we were. We filled out all the required paperwork and then continued to our destination without incident. Factors: close proximity of airports with same runway numbers and not recognizing that our DME still indicated 8 mi to the field because okk was notamed as TACAN/DME OTS.

Title: CPR GA PLT LANDED HIS HS125 AT MZZ RATHER THAN AT OKK, IN, THE POINT OF INTENDED LNDG.
Narrative: WE WERE DSNDING THROUGH THE CLOUDS DOWN TO 2500 FT WHILE COMMUNICATING WITH GRISSOM APCH CTL ON FREQ 121.05. WE WERE TOLD TO CALL THE ARPT IN SIGHT. UPON CLRING THE CLOUDS WE SAW AN ARPT AT 12 O'CLOCK AND CALLED IN SIGHT. GRISSOM APCH CLRED US FOR THE VISUAL APCH AND CANCEL FLT PLAN ON THE GND OR IN THE AIR. WE CANCELED THE FLT PLAN AND CONTINUED TO THE ARPT. ON FINAL, WE DISCUSSED THAT THIS DID NOT LOOK LIKE THE RIGHT ARPT, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE SAME RWY NUMBER '5.' WE KNEW ON LNDG THAT IT WAS THE WRONG ARPT AND THAT OUR DEST WAS 8 MI S OF WHERE WE WERE. WE FILLED OUT ALL THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK AND THEN CONTINUED TO OUR DEST WITHOUT INCIDENT. FACTORS: CLOSE PROX OF ARPTS WITH SAME RWY NUMBERS AND NOT RECOGNIZING THAT OUR DME STILL INDICATED 8 MI TO THE FIELD BECAUSE OKK WAS NOTAMED AS TACAN/DME OTS.
