Narrative:
There are floorboards being installed without fastening screws protruding through locking devices at least 1/3 of a thread, as required per maintenance manual 20-12-00-2. There are different sizes of fasteners needed, because the original floorboards that are being reinstalled are requiring longer screws than the new floorboards. The problem is they are using the shorter screws for all floorboards and there is a story behind why this is happening, but it is wrong. There is nothing that says the length of screw to be installed and I am in the process of getting that fixed, but it takes time and planes are going out with incorrect fasteners installed - - and floorboards are supposed to be a primary structure.
