Narrative:
Began ground school training 1975, private pilot training 1976. Earned private pilot license jul/98. In 20 yrs, the worst lndgs occurred during instruction with instructor pilot, mr X. Accident occurred during wings program training. Had flown solo cross country, sep/xa/98, C18 (2 lndgs) to dpa (1 landing, runway 28) to dkb (1 landing) to C18 (2 lndgs, 1 simulated engine failure on downwind). All lndgs were on centerline within 200 ft of numbers/threshold. Stall warning on first landing with mr X was as described previously. Received numerous distrs, suggestions during remaining lndgs. Cockpit distrs have an adverse effect on myself (included in my checklist is a sterile cockpit requirement during takeoff and lndgs). Mr X's distrs were so much that tower instructions were missed on landing #3. The lesson was canceled early due to mr X misreading his digital watch. I should have canceled the lesson. Mr X is not the instructor for my IFR training. Engine was restarted and taxied back for additional work, final landing was initially on VASI, then slightly low. Power was added. Flare was slightly high, bouncing on contact. Power was added and the plane landed. This lesson was a decision point to continue with mr X as a student. Previous wings program lessons were not satisfactory. I will not waste time and money in the future with unacceptable CFI's.
