Narrative:
#8 tire required changing due worn beyond limits. Wheel assembly part number xyz-zyx was brought to aircraft. Wheel assembly was removed and replaced by new wheel assembly and ready for torquing. Torquing was impossible due retaining nut bottomed out and wheel would not turn. Brakes were pumped several times by xrx and yxy to no avail. Crew chief abc was called. Crew chief abc also zeroed brake pressure and wheel still won't turn. On inspection he found at least 2 pistons had seized and brake change was required. A new brake assembly was ordered and was brought to aircraft. Xrx and yxy came to assist. Wheel assembly and brake were removed. Old brake was observed to have no o-rings. Axle was cleaned, inspected and greased. New brake was installed then the wheel assembly. On torquing, the same problem occurred as before as the retaining nut bottomed out. Wheel assembly part number was checked and had part number xyy-XXX instead of xyz-zyx. Wheel removed was blue tagged. A new wheel was ordered and was brought to aircraft and installed. No play was evident when checked and torquing was normal. Job card was signed off.
