Narrative:

Upon rotation on takeoff, the air crew felt slight vibration and 'scraping' sound. The flight attendant seated aft immediately called the cockpit reporting a loud scraping sound. With a suspected tail strike, we completed the appropriate checklist and returned to atl for landing. The tailskid light did not illuminate and inspection revealed no damage beyond scraped paint off the tailskid. The captain told me, the first officer at the controls, that he had noticed my rapid rotations but had not said anything because every so often one would be just right.
