Narrative:

WX diversion. We were an international arrival from gla. We were on a rerelease flight plan which was to have a planned arrival fuel of around 13000 pounds. Thunderstorms were building at ord and holding began just prior to our arrival. Holds of 30 mins were being issued with no exceptions. I could not hold at all with the fuel I had left, let alone 30 mins, so we diverted to mke. We got our fuel, plans, and clearance and proceeded to ord for an uneventful landing and arrival.
