Narrative:
The aforementioned incident was reported by an FAA official to another FAA official. Apparently the first official lived under or near where the incident took place. As I believe that there was no infringement there is no corrective action except probably not maneuvering so aggressively to and from practice areas in the vicinity of airways. See attached narrative submitted to FSDO regarding aerobatic flight on airway. At about XA20 local time, departed rdg for a flight to zer for the purpose of practice warm-up for the special event. We were a flight of 3, a staudacher aircraft was leading us to zer. The #3 aircraft moved out for some maneuvering turns. The maneuvers consisted of hard turns, 4-6 g-pitch-ups and 2-3 negative G pushovers all for the purpose of 'G' conditioning prior to practice. The low altitude chart was briefed before the flight for the purpose of reviewing airway location. To the best of our knowledge, no infringement took place during the said flight.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PLTS OF 3 STAUDACHER BIPLANES PRACTICING AEROBATICS MANEUVERS FOR AN AIRSHOW, AT A NEARBY ARPT, WERE OBSERVED ON, AND WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF, FEDERAL AIRWAYS BY AN FAA INSPECTOR LIVING UNDER THE AREA OF PRACTICE. RPTRS BELIEVE THAT THEY DID NOT INFRINGE ON ANY AIRWAY.
Narrative: THE AFOREMENTIONED INCIDENT WAS RPTED BY AN FAA OFFICIAL TO ANOTHER FAA OFFICIAL. SEE ATTACHED NARRATIVE SUBMITTED TO FSDO REGARDING AEROBATIC FLT ON AIRWAY. AT ABOUT XA20 LCL TIME, DEPARTED RDG FOR A FLT TO ZER FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRACTICE WARM-UP FOR THE SPECIAL EVENT. WE WERE A FLT OF 3, A STAUDACHER ACFT WAS LEADING US TO ZER. THE #3 ACFT MOVED OUT FOR SOME MANEUVERING TURNS. THE MANEUVERS CONSISTED OF HARD TURNS, 4-6 G-PITCH-UPS AND 2-3 NEGATIVE G PUSHOVERS ALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF 'G' CONDITIONING PRIOR TO PRACTICE. THE LOW ALT CHART WAS BRIEFED BEFORE THE FLT FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVIEWING AIRWAY LOCATION. TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE, NO INFRINGEMENT TOOK PLACE DURING THE SAID FLT.
