Narrative:
During pushback from gate at ord, approximately 50 ft from the gate, the left wing of the aircraft was struck from the rear by a service truck that was proceeding out of the ramp area and onto a service road. The truck was attempting to pass behind the aircraft from aircraft right to aircraft left and attempted to make a right turn under the aircraft left wing. The aircraft was in motion at the time of the impact as it was being pushed to the rear. WX conditions at the time were night VFR, with excellent visibility. Aircraft position lights and rotating beacon were on and functioning normally at the time. Initial maintenance inspection immediately afterward resulted in the aircraft being taken OTS.
