Narrative:
Right float struck rock on takeoff. Takeoff was aborted. Taxied to dock and made temporary repairs. Flew to home base and lifted plane out of water and onto dry land. Contributing factors: john's lake, where incident occurred, is about 18 inches low this summer because of light snowfall last winter and lack of rain this summer. I had landed and taken off from this lake at least 15 times in the past 3 months but on this occasion got too close to rocky reef.
