Narrative:

I'm an instructor at abc FBO. On the day in question I trusted my student to have checked the fuel tanks, we departed and noticed the fuel gauges showing low fuel. We landed full stop at frederick municipal airport. While taxiing toward the ramp to refuel the engine stopped due to fuel starvation. We pushed the aircraft to the ramp, refueled and went back home. This was a close call. I feel I was maybe lucky that we did not run out of fuel. It will not happen again. I will make sure of that.
