Narrative:

I was taking a demonstration flight in a piper malibu, departing willow run airport. We advised tower that we were departing VFR to the northwest for some training. We climbed to 6000 ft while discussing aircraft system, and began maneuvering about 20 mi west of yip. We started questioning if we may have climbed too fast and penetrated detroit's class B airspace. On checking in the detroit approach for VFR advisories, we were given a transponder code and nothing was said.
