Narrative:
On the minks 1 arrival, with new york approach, crossing yardley and descending to 11000 ft, the autoplt failed to capture the altitude. Aircraft descended approximately 300 ft prior to leveloff with immediate return to 11000 ft. Supplemental information from acn 415990: during descent to assigned altitude of 11000 ft, autoplt failed to capture altitude. Autoplt display had indicated capture. Noticed problem as we descended through 11000 ft. Subsequent altitude loss during recovery resulted in altitude deviation of approximately -400 ft (10600 ft).

Title: B727 CREW HAD ALT OVERSHOOT ON DSCNT INTO LGA.
Narrative: ON THE MINKS 1 ARR, WITH NEW YORK APCH, XING YARDLEY AND DSNDING TO 11000 FT, THE AUTOPLT FAILED TO CAPTURE THE ALT. ACFT DSNDED APPROX 300 FT PRIOR TO LEVELOFF WITH IMMEDIATE RETURN TO 11000 FT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 415990: DURING DSCNT TO ASSIGNED ALT OF 11000 FT, AUTOPLT FAILED TO CAPTURE ALT.
