Narrative:

While making an NDB approach (GPS-VOR) to bellfast, me, I missed final approach course interception because of strong crosswind of 30 KTS which blew me off course. Never intercepted it again. Controller gave me miss instructions but I elected to continue approach. Broke out at 900 ft MSL well to east of bst. Proceeded visually under cloud ceiling. On return, IMC at night busted altitude restr of 4000 ft, descending to 500 ft below limit. No conflicts with other traffic. Lost my focus and concentration gabbing with first time passenger, explaining equipment and IFR procedures. It was very distracting and I should have told him to shut up.
