Narrative:
During takeoff, just after rotate speed, a small bird was seen near the left front of the aircraft and passed above the L1 window where a soft thump was heard. Possible bird strike was entered in the log on arrival at jfk. No damage was found on inspection.

Title: DC10 ENCOUNTERS BIRD STRIKE ON TKOF AT BDA.
Narrative: DURING TKOF, JUST AFTER ROTATE SPD, A SMALL BIRD WAS SEEN NEAR THE L FRONT OF THE ACFT AND PASSED ABOVE THE L1 WINDOW WHERE A SOFT THUMP WAS HEARD. POSSIBLE BIRD STRIKE WAS ENTERED IN THE LOG ON ARR AT JFK. NO DAMAGE WAS FOUND ON INSPECTION.
