Narrative:
After landing, the aircraft was being taxied from runway 19R to the GA ramp. A thin veil of non pungent smoke enveloped the cockpit and began to fill the 'tube.' ground control was notified as the engines were shut down and the aircraft was evacuate/evacuationed (crew of 2 and 1 passenger) and the crash equipment was deployed. No fire erupted and the smoke abated after engine shutdown. Upon inspection, a rag was found in the air inlet. The rag jammed the ground blower which overheated the environmental system and pumped super hot air into the duct work. Corrective action: remove rag, replaced 80 amp current limiter. The rag was from the last maintenance vendor at XXX. Lesson learned: post maintenance preflts must be much more extensive!

Title: FLC OF A TURBO COMMANDER, AC690A DURING TAXI, HAS SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. THEY SHUT DOWN THE ACFT, EVAC, AND REQUEST CFR.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG, THE ACFT WAS BEING TAXIED FROM RWY 19R TO THE GA RAMP. A THIN VEIL OF NON PUNGENT SMOKE ENVELOPED THE COCKPIT AND BEGAN TO FILL THE 'TUBE.' GND CTL WAS NOTIFIED AS THE ENGS WERE SHUT DOWN AND THE ACFT WAS EVACED (CREW OF 2 AND 1 PAX) AND THE CRASH EQUIP WAS DEPLOYED. NO FIRE ERUPTED AND THE SMOKE ABATED AFTER ENG SHUTDOWN. UPON INSPECTION, A RAG WAS FOUND IN THE AIR INLET. THE RAG JAMMED THE GND BLOWER WHICH OVERHEATED THE ENVIRONMENTAL SYS AND PUMPED SUPER HOT AIR INTO THE DUCT WORK. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REMOVE RAG, REPLACED 80 AMP CURRENT LIMITER. THE RAG WAS FROM THE LAST MAINT VENDOR AT XXX. LESSON LEARNED: POST MAINT PREFLTS MUST BE MUCH MORE EXTENSIVE!
