Narrative:
Before departure, crew received final aircraft takeoff weight as 404355 pounds. After departure, our dispatcher contacted us and reported that a ground handler accidentally loaded a container that he wasn't supposed to. He advised that actual takeoff gross was 407869 pounds --869 pounds over maximum allowable. Flight crew had no way to know of this situation. No adverse aircraft handling problems.

Narrative: BEFORE DEP, CREW RECEIVED FINAL ACFT TKOF WT AS 404355 LBS. AFTER DEP, OUR DISPATCHER CONTACTED US AND RPTED THAT A GND HANDLER ACCIDENTALLY LOADED A CONTAINER THAT HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO. HE ADVISED THAT ACTUAL TKOF GROSS WAS 407869 LBS --869 LBS OVER MAX ALLOWABLE. FLC HAD NO WAY TO KNOW OF THIS SIT. NO ADVERSE ACFT HANDLING PROBS.
