Narrative:

On the loupe 9 departure out of sjc, after we started our right turn to a heading 120 degrees, bay approach advised us of 'cherokee traffic 10 O'clock position.' checking TCASII we had traffic at 2 O'clock position, inside of 5 mi. ATC then advised us of the 2 O'clock position traffic and said something to the effect, 'you're sandwiched in between them.' simultaneously, we received an RA to descend and both crew members picked the traffic up visually. I started to comply with the RA, but it became obvious that I could not reverse our rate of climb in time. I was at flaps 11 degrees and at 220 KTS and I made a 60 degree right banked turn to avoid the traffic. We passed very close horizontally and at the same altitude of 4200 ft MSL. The traffic was a late model beechcraft straight tail bonanza with 6 seats. After the incident, ATC advised us that he was not talking to that traffic. The maneuver was not violent enough to cause any damage or injury in the cabin. Bay approach was instrumental in alerting us to the traffic and getting our eyes on the traffic.

Narrative: ON THE LOUPE 9 DEP OUT OF SJC, AFTER WE STARTED OUR R TURN TO A HDG 120 DEGS, BAY APCH ADVISED US OF 'CHEROKEE TFC 10 O'CLOCK POS.' CHKING TCASII WE HAD TFC AT 2 O'CLOCK POS, INSIDE OF 5 MI. ATC THEN ADVISED US OF THE 2 O'CLOCK POS TFC AND SAID SOMETHING TO THE EFFECT, 'YOU'RE SANDWICHED IN BTWN THEM.' SIMULTANEOUSLY, WE RECEIVED AN RA TO DSND AND BOTH CREW MEMBERS PICKED THE TFC UP VISUALLY. I STARTED TO COMPLY WITH THE RA, BUT IT BECAME OBVIOUS THAT I COULD NOT REVERSE OUR RATE OF CLB IN TIME. I WAS AT FLAPS 11 DEGS AND AT 220 KTS AND I MADE A 60 DEG R BANKED TURN TO AVOID THE TFC. WE PASSED VERY CLOSE HORIZLY AND AT THE SAME ALT OF 4200 FT MSL. THE TFC WAS A LATE MODEL BEECHCRAFT STRAIGHT TAIL BONANZA WITH 6 SEATS. AFTER THE INCIDENT, ATC ADVISED US THAT HE WAS NOT TALKING TO THAT TFC. THE MANEUVER WAS NOT VIOLENT ENOUGH TO CAUSE ANY DAMAGE OR INJURY IN THE CABIN. BAY APCH WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN ALERTING US TO THE TFC AND GETTING OUR EYES ON THE TFC.
