Narrative:
Location: on localizer runway 28L sfo. On visual approach to runway 28L sfo, received TCASII RA 'climb' for traffic landing runway 28R. At all times we were in visual contact with traffic, but it is disconcerting to get alert at an altitude of 800 ft and be very close to other traffic. Is this normal operations for sfo? It seems that this could be better handled by more of a staggered approach instead of being so close to another aircraft. Supplemental information from acn 418209: jfk-sfo. We were cleared visual approach runway 28L outside bridge and air carrier Y, B757, was cleared visual approach runway 28R. We had the B757 in sight when we accepted the approach. As we turned onto final, he was behind and above us. When he made the turn at the bridge to intercept runway 28R localizer, we got a full scale TCASII alert to climb. He was in sight slightly above and behind us (almost at our 3 O'clock position). I kept him in sight at all times while the captain continued the approach. WX was clear, but this is a very hazardous way to handle air traffic. It should stop. Now.

Title: B767 CREW CLAIM THEY CONTINUE TO RECEIVE TCASII RA'S WHILE ON FINAL MAKING A VISUAL APCH TO SFO EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE THE TFC IN SIGHT.
Narrative: LOCATION: ON LOC RWY 28L SFO. ON VISUAL APCH TO RWY 28L SFO, RECEIVED TCASII RA 'CLB' FOR TFC LNDG RWY 28R. AT ALL TIMES WE WERE IN VISUAL CONTACT WITH TFC, BUT IT IS DISCONCERTING TO GET ALERT AT AN ALT OF 800 FT AND BE VERY CLOSE TO OTHER TFC. IS THIS NORMAL OPS FOR SFO? IT SEEMS THAT THIS COULD BE BETTER HANDLED BY MORE OF A STAGGERED APCH INSTEAD OF BEING SO CLOSE TO ANOTHER ACFT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 418209: JFK-SFO. WE WERE CLRED VISUAL APCH RWY 28L OUTSIDE BRIDGE AND ACR Y, B757, WAS CLRED VISUAL APCH RWY 28R. WE HAD THE B757 IN SIGHT WHEN WE ACCEPTED THE APCH.
