Narrative:

I was on a solo cross country flight from naples to okeechobee. At approximately XA24 I called 10 mi southwest okeechobee for a full stop runway 4, straight-in. At approximately XA27 I called 6 mi out inbound straight-in approach runway 4 okeechobee. Approximately XA27 I recall hearing another aircraft calling 12 mi southwest 2500 ft inbound for a straight-in approach runway 4, okeechobee. Just after this, I recall hearing seneca nxxxx calling 8 mi south for a straight-in approach to runway 4 okeechobee. At approximately XA30 the incident: I called 2 mi final established for runway 4 straight-in approach okeechobee. I was at 700 ft at 80- 85 KIAS, 10 degrees flaps. I looked up and out of nowhere I was overtaken by the seneca nxxxx. He was above me and to the right at approximately 50 ft. The seneca then continued on final approach to runway 4 for a touch-and-go. He remained in the pattern and joined left traffic. Not understanding why the seneca nxxxx had overtaken me at approximately 50 ft vertical separation and 2 mi from runway 4 when I had been reporting my position at 10 mi, 6 mi, and 2 mi. I then called short final runway 4 okeechobee as the seneca was touch-and-going on runway 4 okeechobee. The seneca nxxxx never acknowledged my position and I consider this to be a flight safety risk, this is why I am filing this report. At approximately XA31 I made a 65 KIAS full flaps approach to runway 4 okeechobee and once landed I called unicom clear of active runway okeechobee. I then called unicom twice to ask for taxi instructions. I taxied to the ramp and shut down my engine at approximately XA35. The seneca nxxxx remained in the pattern for 3 circuits.

Title: A C152 STUDENT PLT LNDG STRAIGHT IN TO RWY 4 AT FD39 EXPERIENCES AN NMAC WITH A PA34 ON A STRAIGHT IN THAT HAD OVERTAKEN HIS ACFT.

Narrative: I WAS ON A SOLO XCOUNTRY FLT FROM NAPLES TO OKEECHOBEE. AT APPROX XA24 I CALLED 10 MI SW OKEECHOBEE FOR A FULL STOP RWY 4, STRAIGHT-IN. AT APPROX XA27 I CALLED 6 MI OUT INBOUND STRAIGHT-IN APCH RWY 4 OKEECHOBEE. APPROX XA27 I RECALL HEARING ANOTHER ACFT CALLING 12 MI SW 2500 FT INBOUND FOR A STRAIGHT-IN APCH RWY 4, OKEECHOBEE. JUST AFTER THIS, I RECALL HEARING SENECA NXXXX CALLING 8 MI S FOR A STRAIGHT-IN APCH TO RWY 4 OKEECHOBEE. AT APPROX XA30 THE INCIDENT: I CALLED 2 MI FINAL ESTABLISHED FOR RWY 4 STRAIGHT-IN APCH OKEECHOBEE. I WAS AT 700 FT AT 80- 85 KIAS, 10 DEGS FLAPS. I LOOKED UP AND OUT OF NOWHERE I WAS OVERTAKEN BY THE SENECA NXXXX. HE WAS ABOVE ME AND TO THE R AT APPROX 50 FT. THE SENECA THEN CONTINUED ON FINAL APCH TO RWY 4 FOR A TOUCH-AND-GO. HE REMAINED IN THE PATTERN AND JOINED L TFC. NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY THE SENECA NXXXX HAD OVERTAKEN ME AT APPROX 50 FT VERT SEPARATION AND 2 MI FROM RWY 4 WHEN I HAD BEEN RPTING MY POS AT 10 MI, 6 MI, AND 2 MI. I THEN CALLED SHORT FINAL RWY 4 OKEECHOBEE AS THE SENECA WAS TOUCH-AND-GOING ON RWY 4 OKEECHOBEE. THE SENECA NXXXX NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED MY POS AND I CONSIDER THIS TO BE A FLT SAFETY RISK, THIS IS WHY I AM FILING THIS RPT. AT APPROX XA31 I MADE A 65 KIAS FULL FLAPS APCH TO RWY 4 OKEECHOBEE AND ONCE LANDED I CALLED UNICOM CLR OF ACTIVE RWY OKEECHOBEE. I THEN CALLED UNICOM TWICE TO ASK FOR TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. I TAXIED TO THE RAMP AND SHUT DOWN MY ENG AT APPROX XA35. THE SENECA NXXXX REMAINED IN THE PATTERN FOR 3 CIRCUITS.
