Narrative:
Deviations for WX departing las en route to lax on the oasys 2 departure. Departure control too busy to advise we were going around thunderstorms. Departure called us and told us to turn back direct gfs VOR. We were clear of WX at this point, so we complied. ATC did not say anything else.

Narrative: DEVS FOR WX DEPARTING LAS ENRTE TO LAX ON THE OASYS 2 DEP. DEP CTL TOO BUSY TO ADVISE WE WERE GOING AROUND TSTMS. DEP CALLED US AND TOLD US TO TURN BACK DIRECT GFS VOR. WE WERE CLR OF WX AT THIS POINT, SO WE COMPLIED. ATC DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ELSE.
