Narrative:
We were sequenced behind another B727 taking runway 12. Tower instructed us to position and hold runway 9L when clear of the leading B727. We taxied forward, crossing the hold short line, following a heavy DC10 that had just departed runway 9L. I started the clock and was busy watching the DC10 roll for wake turbulence purposes when all of a sudden the captain brought the plane to a stop, commenting about short final traffic to runway 9L. We heard that bizjet ask tower if it should go around which the tower then gave go around instructions. We then continued our taxi after confirming with tower to proceed into position. The other aircraft was heard on the radio asking what happened and was told to call the tower on the phone. We all knew we had been cleared into position, but didn't know about the other guy.

Narrative: WE WERE SEQUENCED BEHIND ANOTHER B727 TAKING RWY 12. TWR INSTRUCTED US TO POS AND HOLD RWY 9L WHEN CLR OF THE LEADING B727. WE TAXIED FORWARD, XING THE HOLD SHORT LINE, FOLLOWING A HVY DC10 THAT HAD JUST DEPARTED RWY 9L. I STARTED THE CLOCK AND WAS BUSY WATCHING THE DC10 ROLL FOR WAKE TURB PURPOSES WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAPT BROUGHT THE PLANE TO A STOP, COMMENTING ABOUT SHORT FINAL TFC TO RWY 9L. WE HEARD THAT BIZJET ASK TWR IF IT SHOULD GAR WHICH THE TWR THEN GAVE GAR INSTRUCTIONS. WE THEN CONTINUED OUR TAXI AFTER CONFIRMING WITH TWR TO PROCEED INTO POS. THE OTHER ACFT WAS HEARD ON THE RADIO ASKING WHAT HAPPENED AND WAS TOLD TO CALL THE TWR ON THE PHONE. WE ALL KNEW WE HAD BEEN CLRED INTO POS, BUT DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE OTHER GUY.
