Narrative:
No narrative. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that the flight attendants in the back of the aircraft heard popping noises and about 3 mins later the captain called to say that the gauges were going crazy and the flight would return to rdu. The plane was taken OTS and another located for their flight.

Narrative: NO NARRATIVE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT THE FLT ATTENDANTS IN THE BACK OF THE ACFT HEARD POPPING NOISES AND ABOUT 3 MINS LATER THE CAPT CALLED TO SAY THAT THE GAUGES WERE GOING CRAZY AND THE FLT WOULD RETURN TO RDU. THE PLANE WAS TAKEN OTS AND ANOTHER LOCATED FOR THEIR FLT.
