Narrative:
Landing incident at fkr. On oct/xa/98 in my piper colt PA22- 108, I contacted the CTAF 123.00 and received the numbers on the wind direction, speed and runway in use. 220 degrees, 13 KTS, active runway 22. I was on final approach, almost to the end of runway 22 and suddenly felt a downdraft as if it was the effect of an aurora. The left wing dipped downward enough to come in contact with the top of a trailer, which took off the left wheel. I managed to land on the grass next to the runway without causing any injury to my wife or me, or to the airplane.
